Dr. Kiara Brown
After completing high school in rural North Carolina, Dr. Kiara Brown chose to pursue her undergraduate studies at Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia, ultimately finishing her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with Summa Cum Laude honors in 2011. She then matriculated to the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry, finishing at the top of her class with a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree. Next, Dr. Brown completed a General Practice Residency at the Jesse Brown Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center in Chicago, IL prior to entering Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at the Dental College of Georgia in Augusta, GA. During her time in residency, Dr. Brown learned the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and spent her final year as a chief resident. Dr. Brown’s next move was to the Mercy Hospital in Saint Louis, Missouri to complete fellowship training in Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) Surgery, completing upwards of 500+ major cases.
Dr. Brown thoroughly enjoys caring for patients through the full scope of the specialty with a particular interest in dentoalveolar and dental implant procedures, TMJ and orthognathic procedures, oral and facial trauma, and pathology. She holds membership in the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and is pursuing board certification.
During her free time, Dr. Brown enjoys spending time with her family and friends, attending concerts, and trying new food. She has a playful Frenchie who also keeps her busy when she is not involved with community service and mentoring. Dr. Brown looks forward to touching the lives of patients and families within the Greater Baltimore area.
